ANDERSON UNIVERSITY
Anderson University is a private Christian college in Anderson, Indiana. Founded in 1917 by the Church of God, the university remains affiliated with its founding church and values its heritage and history.

While firmly rooted in the traditions and history of the Church of God, the university has made significant advances in its 93 years, progressing from a Bible training school to a full-fledged liberal arts college and finally to a university offering more than 60 undergraduate majors, as well as graduate programs inbusiness, education, music, nursing, and theology.

CITY OF ALEXANDRIA
Alexandria is a city in Monroe Township, Madison County, Indiana, United States. It is about 46 miles (74 km) northeast of Indianapolis. It is part of the Anderson, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its population, as of 2000 is 6,260, according to the United States Census.

Alexandria is also known as "Small Town USA" and holds an annual festival to honor this heritage. Famous residents include Bill and Gloria Gaither, winners of four Grammys. Gaither Studios is a very busy recording center for different types of music. It is especially known for producing Gospel music.

CITY OF ANDERSON
Anderson is a city in Madison County, Indiana, United States, and is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The city is the county seat of Madison County. It is the principal city of the Anderson, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses Madison county. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 59,734. Anderson is the headquarters of the Church of God (Anderson) and home of Anderson University, which is affiliated with that denomination. Highlights of the city include the historic Paramount Theatre and the Gruenwald Home. In 2007, Anderson was ranked 98th in the Forbes List for 100 Best Places for Businesses among Smaller U.S. Metro areas

TOWN OF CHESTERFIELD
Chesterfield, Indiana, is located in Madison County, although a small eastern portion of the town spills over into neighboring Delaware County.

It is governed by a 5-member Town Council and an elected clerk/treasurer.

It is a quiet community that enjoys a low crime rate and low cost of living.

With its close proximity to many other cities and towns, and easy access to I-69 and State Road 32, it offers an attractive location for people moving to the area.

TOWN OF EDGEWOOD
The Town of Edgewood is a residential community with a population of 1988. Nestled between farmland and forests, the Town of Edgewood is approximately 640 acres.

WHITE RIVER WATCHERS
The White River Watchers came together in 1998 for the purpose of "preserving and protecting the White River watershed by means of community action and public education". Thier first official project was a clean up of the White River on the East side of Anderson. It netted them over two tons of debris and well over 150 tires. Since that time, the watchers have accumulated a long list of activities that demonstrate the spirit of community service and volunteerism.

TOWN OF INGALLS
Ingalls, Indiana is a small family community in Green Township with the conveniences of a citylife near by. Green Township is located in the southwest corner of Madison County, bordered by Fall Creek Township to the east, Stoney Creek Township to the north, Hamilton County to the west, and Hancock County to the south. Ingalls is also accessible by several State Roads and uniquely situated on the edge of the growing Indianapolis Metropolitan Area

TOWN OF PENDLETON
Pendleton is located along Fall Creek, 27 northeast of Indianapolis and 10 miles south of the center of Anderson. Situated in a primarily agricultural region of Madison County, Pendleton is the fastest growing community in the County.

Pendleton is a walkable, pedestrian-friendly town that boasts great schools and other assets typically associated with larger cities; things like an expansive park system, a public golf course, and a top-tier library.  There’s also a diverse range of housing opportunities in Pendleton as well, so a wider range of people can look forward to calling this place home.

MADISON COUNTY
Located in Central Indiana, Madison County is about 35 minutes northeast of the heart of Indianapolis and is traversed by Interstate 69. Madison County is part of the Anderson, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and as of 2000 had a population of 133,358.

Madison County was formed in 1823. It was named for James Madison, co-author of the Federalist Papers, and fourth President of the United States.

MADISON COUNTY SWCD
The Madison County SWCD was chartered in 1949. Nationwide, legislation was enacted during the Dust Bowl to form local SWCD leadership. Ever since, the SWCD has been instrumental in solving soil erosion & water quality problems in Madison County.

The mission of the Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District is to conserve and enhance the wise use of our soil, water and related natural resources.

MADISON COUNTY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (MCCOG)
The Madison County Council of Governments (MCCOG) is a cooperative, county-wide planning organization, funded in part by Alexandria, Anderson, Elwood, Pendleton, and Madison County, Indiana. Our charter agreement was signed in May 1969 in recognition of the need for cross-community cooperation geared toward the solution of common problems faced throughout the county.

The prime purpose of the Council of Governments is to increase communication, cooperation, and coordination among local governments in planning and implementing programs to meet mutual challenges and problems. Each local government has the opportunity for involvement in policy making and programming of MCCOG.
