Ingalls is a small community (pop. 1100), in southwest Madison County
along the 67/36 corridor. Its proximity to Indianapolis means that
it will continue to be affected, both positively and negatively, by
growth in the region. Traffic, new residences, and possible economic
opportunities are all issues that need to be examined.
The comprehensive plan process gave residents a chance to evaluate
the state of their community, look at what factors are likely to influence
changes in the future, and make decisions that will affect the course
Ingalls will take in the future. The document produced will consist
of recommendations designed to enhance life in Ingalls while acting
as a guide for future growth and development.
MCCOG will produce the comprehensive plan as per the
instructions of the Ingalls Plan Commission. A draft copy of the Ingalls Comprehensive Plan is now available online. Click on the links below to view the plan.
