Compost & Mulch Service

The City of Anderson also offers disposal of yard waste including tree limbs, leaves, & grass clippings. This service is not curbside; material must be dropped off at the City’s Yard and Garden Recycling Center. Recycling woody debris, leaves and grass keeps these items out of landfills and out of our stormwater system. There is a $15(per truck) fee for dropping off limbs and brush.

High-quality mulch and compost can also be purchased at the center; prices are: Mulch $10.00/cubic yard; AAA leaf compost $ 10.00/cubic yard.

The City’s Yard and Garden Recycling Center is located at 2000 West 8th Street, in Anderson. The center is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 8am-2pm (closed for lunch from 11am-12pm).

Recycling Service

Madison County does not currently provide curbside recycling for residents living outside the incorporated areas. However, these residents can bring their recyclable materials to the East Central Indiana Solid Waste District located at 2031 Mounds Rd. (across from Mounds Mall) in Anderson.
